Went down there yesterday for the first time. It’s a large spread out show for sure. Problem was it was ridiculously crowded. Hard to walk through and see things. The displays in most all categories were really cool. Especially some of the taxidermy. Talk about slammers. If I go back it would be towards the middle/end of the week.

I used to go years ago . I have outfitter friends that set up booths in there ..
I would spend 2-3 days during middle of the week ..
It's a great show with lots to see , and go to some of the seminars, they where great

It takes a couple days to take it all in ...
I used to get an exibitor pass , that helped with the entry fees and let me in the back door early ..

My friend has a Canadian spring bear hunting business
I would go one day over to Hershey chocolate factory , and buy a pickup truck load of chocolate for his bear bait ... this was old or outdated stuff that they couldn't sell ..
they would load my pickup with a fork lift , until the truck was sagging on the springs

I remember there where tubs of Carmel , that was still solidified.
So you just chopped it up with an axe , it lasted a long time ..and didn't spoil
Bears loved it
you cook good rabbit pilgrim

I don't get up at 4 AM to play catch and release .

I’m planning to go Wednesday/Thursday figure it will be less crowded. I have never been on a weekend but I figured it would be packed.

Went down to the show today. Crowds weren’t to bad. Overall was a nice show, very big. I was disappointed that none of the quality fishing tackle manufacturers like G Loomis & St Croix were there. Did attend an enjoyable coyote trapping seminar. It was worth the trip.

I'm not surprised dont blame any sportsmen for leaving NY

NY is one of the worst states in the country for sportsmen & gun owners.
