Two bills of interest are on the agenda for the Suffolk County Legislature’s Environment, Parks & Agriculture Committee (https://www.scnylegislature.us/1106/Environment-Parks-Agriculture-2020) meeting on Monday, November 9 @ 10:00am:

Res 1652-2020 (https://www.scnylegislature.us/DocumentCenter/View/72768/Introductory-Resolution-1652-20-PDF), Requiring legislative approval for future contracts involving recreational shooting ranges on County property.

Res 1801-2020 (https://www.scnylegislature.us/DocumentCenter/View/73442/Introductory-Resolution-1801-20-PDF), Requiring an environmental hazard mitigation plan to address lead waste upon closure of County-owned recreational shooting ranges for 90-days or longer.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held at the William H. Rogers Legislature Building, 725 Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge.
