Let me say it again, about the Duck Stamp. The ONLY efforts (three of them) to increase sales of the duck stamp have been directed at Non-Hunters. Despite these initiatives, sales continued to drop at a rate proportionate to the drop in basic hunting licenses. Antis and conservationists are now fighting against an initiative to bolster sales and morale directed at the hunters.
In 85 years, 80 stamps did NOT feature hunting and five did. Over those 85 years, once hunting license sales dropped, so did duck stamp sales. Now, Antis and Conservationist are saying that featuring hunting on duck stamps will result in a dramatic and disastrous reduction in duck stamp sales...
The antis and conservationists also claim that an image, the size of a postage stamp, will be the impetus to support or not support conservation...
