Ron vs Table saw
« on: February 21, 2024, 06:33:39 AM »
0/1

Had a significant thumb injury using a table saw Saturday working on a project in my taxidermy shop. Not sure how long this will set me back but I'm determined to adapt and overcome the challenges that lie ahead...

OMG !!!!! I just finished eating my dinner when you sent that to me. We thought about you all night. Gena is so worried about you. Lets hope and pray you will still have some use of it. I still can't look at this picture. You are determined and yes Ronnie you will adapt. This is one thing duct tape won't fix. Since you still have the thumb we won't call you stumpy. (beers)

I'm used to hearing these kinds of stories and seeing the results among my woodworking club and professional woodworker associates... (often involving table saws and nail guns...) Seldom hear them in my sportsmen circles... Sorry to hear it Ron. Hopefully you'll have excellent outcomes.  Best wishes for a speedy and full recover.

        Geeeezus Ron! . . . . Your right hand???

I did something similar years back (not quite as bad) cutting lamb chops on a ban saw. My hands got slippery from the fat and whamo! . . . ban saws are no joke! . . . really rip you! . . .
    Get well soon! . . . . . gut wrenching for me . . .

That's a pretty scary looking picture.

Good luck and heal fast.
