Title: My Sacandaga Lake trip
Post by: UCBowhunter on February 18, 2021, 08:05:32 PM
Been a while since I last ice fished likely about 5-7 years. Well a buddy wanted to fish Sacandaga Lake and go for some Walleyes. Needless to say they avoided us but the pike didn't. It was brutal since we had to walk out. According to my daughters future father in law who lives on the lake it's 20' lower that it's high point during summer. So half mile out we drill a hole 3' one mile we have 15'-20'. Set up the younger guys drilled and I showed my son how to set up tip ups. His first real time ice fishing. He did great all day helping out. Wasn't cold at all and absolutely loved it. So we got 3 I missed two fish on the jigging for. Great day great memories
