PYO open for the '22 Fall apple harvest on Cherrytown Mt.

(1/2) > >>

Appleman:
We are open!  Weekends 10 to 5 and by appointment other times.  As always--If we are not here ---we are not open.  Orchard is at the end of the town Rd (Baker off of Cherrytown) in Kerhonkson.  Safe travels.  p.s.--the crop is nice in spite of the lack of rain this past summer and our prices are the same as last year even though everything else is CRAZY 8). For all other information please look on the web.

Appleman:
With all of the sun this summer and low rain the apples are sweet as i have ever tasted!  open today from 10-5.  x:)

Appleman:
The weatherman gave the rain forecast for Saturday---WRONG---we picked all day--put some of the nicest Macs in the cooler that I have ever grown.  Trees are still holding a nice crop of Fall apples.  Open Sunday 10-5 for picking, putting some nice apples up for cooler sales into the Winter.  My old bones are telling me that going up and down the hill and ladder seems to get harder as the years pile up, thank god for aspirin. (beers). For information check the web or give a call here to the farm.
The Wightman Fruit Farm (the one in NY not NJ)

Gut shot:
Are all the apple types ready at the same time ?

Appleman:
Good question GS, no thank goodness-- or we would never get them in the cooler because we pick all the fruit in house==only pickers on our farm is me and my business partner (my son Zach) and the public (PYO).  Our first apples are ready Aug 15,  our last apples are ready Nov 5. When fruit is ready it has a window of a week to 10 days depending on the weather when it should be picked.
