Elderberries

Anybody picking elderberries?
I used to pick them for my grandmother and she would make delicious pies ..
I haven't even seen any around ...

 havnt seen any but didnt know u could make pie with them i was always told the indians used them for medicine witch is why we called them indian berries.

They make wonderful pies and jam from elderberries..
Grandma used to make syrup also for the pancakes ..
They should be ready to pic about now , gotta beat the birds ..
They used to grow thick along the road in the ditches , I don't see them like that anymore..
