looks like a piece of quarts to me it's a good indication of native Americans were in that area. My opinion is it's a piece that was discarded or broken off on something they may have been working on but I dont see any evidence of human workman ship and the edges look pretty natural to me.. thanks for sharing..

Mudpuppy,  what Ron is saying in a nice way is that you found a rock---keep looking 8).  I have found 3 things the first 5 minutes looking and have found nothing 40 hours looking.  What it comes down to is chance.  If you're not looking you have no chance of finding anything.  My job requires me to look at crops all day long and i'm lucky to see something a few times a year.  When I'm just walking in search for artifacts my search areas are in very small spots(40-60 acres)and its a very lucky chance when I find something.  Lots of rocks out there!
