I found a small stream next to my job an its about 2 to 3 ft deep but mostly 2 ft or less and only 6ft wide max. i can see herring around an they follow a stollie but without a net how can i catch them?

Please legal ways only i knows nets are not allowed. Happy fishing everyone

Are metal bait traps allowed? I use to always catch shiners that way.

nope u need a good 4' of water or more to jig. Never understood the law u can keep 10 per day so why does it matter were u catch them. 8)

Cami. . . if you can find a good hole in that creek you may be able to jig them . . . I know they are jigging them up in the deeper areas of Black Creek . . . but it takes patience (and time)
