So you put those on a high low dropper loop rig?

I'm going to give it a shot here in next week or so now that NY season is opening.

No, I actually hang it on the same clip that holds the bank sinker on a three-way swivel. . . the hooks hang just below the sinker

I almost constantly tap the sinker up and down on the rocks . . . I can swear that Togs somehow instinctively come to investigate thinking it is a crab or shellfish scraping against the rocks . . . I also cut off the legs and prep a bunch of crabs once I anchor in order to chum with them . . . . It usually rings the dinner bell soon enough . . . . I have a bag of Tog jigs that I have yet to experiment with, but friends swear by them tipped with a half crab . . .  Good luck Pat (and anyone else fishing for TOG!!)

Nice! Yeah in the shallower LI sound, the lightest jig possible is the ticket. I usually use 1 ounce or 1 1/2 oz. Anything over that sometimes the togs feel the weight an drop it. Those rigs you made work as well an i use them when i fish deeper water like on RI or NJ. Asylum Jigs an Tidal Tail jigs are very popular in western sound

Fished Greenwich CT area yesterday. It was a very slow pick. Not much short life but got two keepers. Water is way too warm. We should have a productive nov.
