Lost Dog
« on: October 01, 2021, 09:47:54 PM »
My buddy's English Setter disappeared while we were getting ready to pheasant hunt at Stewart today. White with reddish ears. About 50 lbs.  There is a phone number on his collar and vest... wearing an electronic collar. Please keep an eye out if you're there Saturday!

It is a shock/bark collar only. No GPS.

The dog is young and training was rather tightly controlled. Unfortunately the temptation of 6,800 acres (?) was too much for the dog and he ran and ran and ran and the shock collar made no difference to his mission...

He left a shirt and a pair of socks. He managed to get the same hunting spot this morning too... no luck thus far.

I am down there rebuilding some of the old roads in Stewart. Currently on Ridge Road. It’s a big place but I will certainly keep an eye out for her/him. NYSDEC.

That would be great!  We saw equipment by the road to the Pittman Robertson pond and some of the much needed drainage work. Thank you!

Any luck finding dog ..?
I lost a beagle once while hunting rabbits, could not find the dog ..
A day later , a girl calls from newpaltz and says she has my dog !!
She saw my dog along side of the road and stopped and picked it up !!

Nothing yet... Given all the ID and contact information on him we'd think someone would have found him by now... alive or dead. Thoughts are that he may have been intentionally stolen. In which case he may run away again and be found by someone who gets his chip scanned!  The chip company has him flagged as missing...
