LAST week one night I caught this guy relaxing and taking it easy .... could care less that I was there ....... maybe he knows where hes at there's no hunting ....

That's a beauty!
 I saw a road kill today in Westchester, at first I didn't think it was a deer it was so big, but as I drove by I saw it was a huge bodied deer. So on the way back I stopped to take a look. The antlers were cut off, and no kidding the bases had to be 10"-12" in diameter, literally as thick as my forearms. Must have been an enormous rack.
 Silly question, but someone cut these unhardened antlers off, aren't they just gonna rot?

never found velvet antlers myself but just like they harden come fall i imagine they will dryup as is and harden also ......

i believe the would need to be injected with embalming fluid i know if you harvest a soft horned buck in other states first thing the taxidermist does is take out the syringe of god only knows what and then stick it multiple times emptying the fluid between the anther and the velvet membrane
