Finally hit Rondout reservoir

Had my niece from Vermont down recently to turkey hunt. No bird for her but fun hunts. So since I never took her up there decided to go one afternoon. Well in my hast and lack of thinking I anchored in 70-90' of water. Yeah pretty steep drop off. Using a portable Helix5 ( man the FF is amazing) We lost a very good fish right off the bat. I would assume a laker. Never saw it. Well we did miss a few Lakers and caught 4 all together. One was about 16" the others 19+. The sunset never gets old up there.

Shoreline out about 40-50' was 59°-60° out where I anchored was 52°

Thank you. I almost pulled anchor to get into 40'-45' of water. Fish finder started showing alot of fish. The FF shows fish coming off the bottom, can see your bait. My son learned the FF really good. He called the two fish in the picture of me and my niece. Fish leveled off at the depth we knew what pole it was. First double we had up there.
