Im going down to montauk soon to spend a few days with the wife. i want to bring my pistol but not sure i can drive through the city with it or not. can anyone tell me if i can or not or what i need to do.. I have a nys full carry. Thanks.

I guess what I'm asking is it legal to put the gun in a lock box in trunk seperate from the ammo. I know there is a federal transportation law that protects our 2nd amendment rights..

Go thru CT and take ferry across to Port Jeff. Better than driving thru city anyway.

Just stow it away somewhere out of reach and don't get off thruway inside city limits. Just think of how many truckers and other people who carry  travel on I95 that technically goes thru city limits.

Ron be careful going thru the city.  Federal transportation law only applies for a drive threw with no stopping. If you get stopped you are screwed.
