striperman:
Hey guys,My uncle left me a row boat and it has no ser# on it.I would like to get it registered but not sure what I would need to do.Does anyone know what I would need to do to do this? Thanks

walkabout:
u putting a motor on it?  scribe a # on a plate attach it to the boat and give them that..

jdbbowhunter:
DEC can give you a number. They come and look at boat, give you #. Have to get #s engraved on a small piece of metal and attach to boat. At least thats what they did for me, but it was a while ago.

greensider:
Dec doesn’t get involved in registrations you have to register it as a home made bring pictures with you to dmv I have done it a few times they give you the number to put on hull aka hull identification number

greensider:
Make sure you tell them it’s older pre 70s before numbers were put on less experienced dmv employees might not know all of this
