well I've been away sulking in the corner and finally decided to come out …. needless to say bow season as well as every other season for me was probably the worse and came up empty ….. cant remember the last time my freezer has been empty …. my main bow area in 3m was decimated by EHD or all the deer took a vacation …. @ one point I counted that I went out 14 days in a row so time in the stand wasn't the issue other than choosing the right time maybe …. had very few decent bucks on camera and saw nothing in range while in the tree … so referring to my DEC Bow log the numbers speak for themselves:

2020 130 hours in a tree (split between 3m and 3p) 13 bucks seen (most young) 18 does seen (once again most young) nothing harvested
vs.

2019 77 hours (3m only) 54 bucks seen 42 does seen MATURE buck harvested many others passed up

for 6 years I was practicing "let them go to GRow" and actually I think most of them died …..

I passed on any Does (not much close anyway) because I don't believe the DECs theory how too many does will kill off the bucks during the rut so they can rationalize why they continued giving out 3m doe tags …. I hope they develop a better deer management theory than that moving forward

Not sure how I'm going too see any improvement anytime soon in my patch of woods … id have to guess it will take a few years ….

if u want some meat i have 35lbs of burger all sealed and packaged in 2lb bundles ill give u 10-12lbs if u want it.

thanks very much for the kind offer but ill survive ….. maybe staring @ the empty freezer will remind me I better do something very different in 21 because I don't see how its going to improve anytime soon in my areas …..

actually you will be hearing from me ….. of course I found one of my missing bucks rotting away so I grabbed the skull and was going to see if u bleach them …..

My archery season in the beginning was slow but near mid October started to see lots of deer and connected with a nice 8
