Good kill Ron, That’s a nice looking gun.

I have tried the last few years when we've had snow but a lot of times the tracks lead right to laurels and it gets tough to follow. I did shoot my last 2 bucks still hunting large chunks of public (large relative to this area, not Maine/NH). There was no snow but found hot sign.  Next year I am going to plan some days off again late season to keep trying. I am a fan of the Big Woods Bucks podcast and that is where I got really interested in trying it and still hunting. Another good one for hunting mountainous terrain is East Meets West if you're interested in podcast

I’ve listened to East meets west. Will definitely have to check out the big woods bucks podcast. There’s Something about the allure of taking them off the ground.

Congratulations Ron! A late season buck in deep snow is earned.
I hunted the afternoons on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the snow was 20 plus inches deep. Talk about a workout!
When decisions about what to explore are made by the difficulty of having to come back up out of an area that isn’t good. Great to be out though!
