If anyone would like a deer scored please send a pm I’ll be getting mentored this year with a NYS BBC scorer trying to get certified for our area Steve actually has a spot with contact info on this site some place or just go to NYSBBC and look for a scorer in your county

Steve did my 2011 9 point and got it into NEBBC club.  I might be interested in scoring my last couple just for curiosity in my skills. Not my recent mistake adding...lol

Since I've got a good thread rolling here I want to ask if any other hunters are really seeing a lack of 4 and six pointers last couple years?

I've noticed last couple years seeing lots of 1.5 year old 7 and 8 points.  While chatting i got notification from my cell cam (I LOVE THIS FRIGGEN THING!) a couple new bucks came in. One an 8 the other a 9.  I have only seen this year 1 spike and nothing smaller than an 8.

What are your thoughts and are you guys seeing similar? Curious if genetic with more years under AR or great nutrition from last couple years of mast crops?

This 9 point is following the "black widow" ive shot my last 2 bucks behind with her nose in my mock scrape. You can see the dripper above her neck.

Here's another pic from late last night with young 7 point after checking my mock scrape. Pic came in after original post so I just added it to this comment.

This pictured is definitely 1.5 year old, I have another picture front facing and its only 11-12" wide. I passed on six 7 & 8 points last year that were 1.5 .   I was just surprised to see an immature 9 like that. I get a few days that all the bucks pile in here and I guess me freshening up the scrapes when I pulled cards from other cameras this afternoon got them fired up...lol. BTW I pissed in 4 mock scrapes at 4:30pm and gave them a squirt of estrus. 630pm had first 8 come in to check them out. If you guys aren't doing this I suggest you try a few mock scrapes the next week I bet you see some activity!

Anyone know how to become an official scorer? I’ve reached out to NYSBBC, NEBBC and pope and young with no response. I’d like to become one. Anyone know how?

No doubt Ron, you have some of the quickest turnarounds for Taxidermy i really respect that!

I'm lucky I got it to you when I did , my freezer went down a month later and lost a bunch of meat unfortunately 🤬
