Decided to do some duck hunting to break things up. Not much flying where we were but a few shots few laughs and beautiful sunrise.

Nice , did you guys build a blind this year , or are you hunting from the shore ..
Lots of work building an off shore blind out in the flats ....

Used to love it , late season canvasbacks....and a lot of cool ducks ...buffleheads ...

Stopped pounding stakes years ago. This blind has been on a very small island for over 20 years. Just did a rebuild this year. Duck hunting is not like it was on the river years ago. Birds are just not there. Sad to see.

Caught my biggest striper there , years ago ...

I miss the good old days , out there cooking deer steaks , and shooting boxes of shells !!!
