I just never seen anyone use them when they hunt.
I have a pair for my  girls, they have a microphone so you can listen,  but then are noise canceling when they fire the gun. They work great for the kids, it keeps them from flinching  at anticipation  of the BANG, my 16 year old didn't wear them this year,  she said she didn't need em anymore,  but they are a great tool for young hunters,  or in greensiders case when shooting the ole hand cannon,  LOL.

My buddy and I used them when we varmint hunted a lot back in the 80s... I WISH I had them the couple times I shot game with a .44 magnum revolver!

It's about 1 PM on opening day of rifle season 2020. No deer seen thus far today. The squirrels and birds, including song birds and woodpeckers, have made lots of noise. Quite warm...  The highlight of the day thus far was seeing a barred owl flying from tree to tree.  My buddy, hunting a couple hundred yards away, saw two does...
