Last nights Cross Bow Buck. I got into the stand around 130 and noticed some deer right away about 100 yards in the wood line. As I started to glass more and more deer were popping in view. I noticed 4 bucks hanging out .... 2 Mature ones and 2 young ones. The young ones started sparring over a bedded female. This went on for about 2 hours and the deer never really moved and stayed where they were at. Then about 4 pm they all got up and started moving towards me. The bucks were following a hot doe and before I realized it she was walking behind me @ 20 yards. Then I saw the buck following right behind her. I took the shot and it sounded like I hit him but he just went about 20 yards and walked off into the brush. After climbing down I found the bolt and it was barely covered with anything but it was a hit. There was no blood around so I went to where I last saw him and found some blood. Then I bumped him so I went back to my stand and packed up my stuff. After waiting about an hour around 530 I picked up the blood trail again and found him less than 100 yards away .... Thankfully he went down ... the shot was way back but must have been enough ....

 Nice ones guys. Nothing wrong w a nice young doe.  Taste much better in my opinion   Last week we did redneck surf and turf, Striper and tenderloins. One of our family  favorites.
